Hello everyone!  My name is Ryan and and I am a Partner Success Manager for an Ed Tech company based in Durham. Originally from Alaska, I am still trying to adjust to the humidity down in NC. My background has primarily been in sales (insurance, SaaS) and teaching. I taught for 3 years in my hometown before moving to NC with my fiance.  I have been in my current role for about 10 months now and am excited to be a part of this community among other Success communities out there. Hello from Longview, Texas. Yes its hot here too!

Hello everyone!  My wife & I love cruising in our Jeep wrangler with the top, and doors off on our day’s off.  However, its been so hot here lately in TX, you have to take advantage of the cool morning rides.  The dogs appreciate that as well, as they love to go bye-bye with us.  Best wishes to everyone new to GuideCX - we've been using the product 2.5 years it seems, nearly 1200 projects between our staff members.  Awesome team we have in the GCX office!  Thank you all.

What is your record for most calls in a day?

When I worked at a hyper-growth company I would often have calls scheduled from 8am-5pm. Literally back to back - a couple times I had (18) 30-min kickoff calls! Then I got to work from 5-whenever to write recap emails 🫠Finally I had enough and started scheduling lunch into my day!What is your record for most customer calls in a day?

Times have changed!

When I was a brand new onboarding manager I used spreadsheets to track my customers’ onboarding progress. Then I leveled up to Trello, then Asana, but now I use GUIDEcx. I definitely relate to this meme! I love how far we’ve come and now we have purpose-built solutions! Who else remembers what onboarding used to look like?

Ever heard of vaporware?

Happy Friday everyone! We’ve all been there and wow. I think these interactions with customers are what truly refines your soft skills as an implementation specialist.  I remember at my first onboarding gig the customer THOUGHT the sales rep promised that we’d ship out hardware free of charge. What a conversation that was. Thank goodness for call recordings. Luckily the customer misremembered and we didn’t have a sneaky sales rep on our hands. Unfortunately the customer canceled immediately. I guess my takeaway is - build strong relationships with sales early on. The more they know about accounts that churn the more they can tweak their talk tracks. They want to sell more. We’re all on the same team. Let’s level each other up!

Howdy from Texas!

Greetings all! I’m Casey - I lead the Implementation (aka Onboarding) group at Beck Technology. Our PMs are responsible for moving new clients onto our construction estimating platform (DESTINI Estimator). I’ve been here since our first client joined in 2016 and it’s been an exciting ride to grow from 14 employees to about 70!My favorite moment of the day is when my 2 year old son knocks on the office door and tells me it’s “no more work” time - my family is my #1 hobby! We love getting outside (even in the Texas summer heat). If I’m out on my own, you’ll find me in the tractor at the family ranch or, as often as possible, out in the woods for hunting season.Looking forward to building a network of nerds with the same passions - I love crafting creative solutions to help make clients successful, and I have stumbled onto a new passion of operational excellence (automations/integrations/removing barriers for the team).

Hi from Salt Lake!

Hi Everyone! My name is Sam, I’m a mom of soon to be 3, Onboarding superfan, and bookaholic. When I’m not whipping up snacks or my face isn’t down in a book, I like to spend time with my family outside. I work as a Global Program Manager for Qualtrics and run all of our digital onboarding programs through Customer Success. In the last year I’ve worked to launch our first ever Omni-channel digital onboarding journey including self-service checklists, email, in-product, and more.
