Hello everyone!

My name is Ryan and and I am a Partner Success Manager for an Ed Tech company based in Durham. Originally from Alaska, I am still trying to adjust to the humidity down in NC. My background has primarily been in sales (insurance, SaaS) and teaching. I taught for 3 years in my hometown before moving to NC with my fiance.

I have been in my current role for about 10 months now and am excited to be a part of this community among other Success communities out there. I love the challenge onboarding and retention bring and really value the ability to build value and relationships with our partners.

I’ll have a lot more questions than answers on here and I hope that is alright! Excited to share ideas and learn from everyone!

Welcome, @RyanV!

I spent a couple of years in Pinehurst, NC. Sunset beach is one of the best beaches in the world!!

Welcome to the ON. Looking forward to learn from your content as well!

Welcome, Ryan!

Welcome to the Onboarding Network @RyanV! I think you’re our first Alaskan here!!! It’s on my bucket list to vacation up there! It seems so majestic!!!

Since you’re a teacher you’ll appreciate this: Whenever a question pops up feel free to drop it in the ON! Chances are if you’re thinking it, someone else is too!

I can’t wait to learn with you!

Howdy @RyanV! I’m a fellow North Carolinian based out of Charlotte, NC, so just down the road a little bit from ya.  (I hear ya about the humidity, it’s wild)

I also used to work in EdTech! I was employee #20 at Securly, started out as a Sales Engineer, built out their CS org, and lead operations until owning the whole customer experience. I love the K12 space, so much fun to work in.

@willpatterson Right on, my fiance’s family is in Asheboro so practically splits the difference there.

Love that track and that is something I am hoping to replicate at my current company. Currently in a Success Manager role with a big interest in process and operations.

@emaynez I hope you do get a chance to visit and when you do let me know! Happy to send any helpful info/fun things.

A quick question I had, is this the best way to reply individually or is there an option to have a threaded reply that I am missing?

@harrisclarke I was happy to see you on here, I attended a webinar you led through CSC and really enjoyed your perspective. Looking forward to sharing more on here as well!

@Mark Mitchell Pinehurst looks like an awesome spot. I have a plan to go down to Fayetteville before the end of the summer to catch some baseball. Really love the number of teams in NC.

Looking forward to connecting and learning more!

Sounds like a plan, @RyanV! I’ll definitely hit you up!

Great question - there’s no threaded option on this community platform that I’m aware of. However, it looks like you got the hang of this thing already by @mentioning each individual!

Thanks @RyanV you too!

Hey @RyanV! My company, Pendo, is in NC (though I’m working remote). On another note, I worked in Skagway for a summer as a tour guide. The mountains are a magical place up there in AK.

Nice to meet you!
