Hello from Utah! How is everyone doing today?I just wanted to share something that I was looking at. When you all joined GUIDEcx there is a Welcome Survey that gauges your excitement level to use GUIDEcx. (see screenshot below) I thought I’d share the results with you!On average, your cohort is generally excited (4/5) to use GUIDEcx. That being said, I was surprised to see how many 3’s there were. Those who said they were neutral (3) shared that it was because they weren’t sure what GUIDEcx was yet. Needless to say, that was surprising to me! (But this is good to know so we can improve our new user onboarding process!)I hope you've had the opportunity to explore GUIDEcx since completing the survey.I’d love to ask you all to take a moment to share any questions, concerns, or interesting discoveries you've made so far by commenting below.
The project pipeline report is not showing accurate information.Example: 24 hours ago a Project Manager was disabled in Gcx. All projects were transfered to another person. They are showing to day under this user still in reporting Example: Under my name it shows 2 projects, where only one exists in the project list.

Hello friends! Quick Wednesday afternoon update. We just pushed an update to production and have moved those check boxes over to the left hand side. In addition, we removed some of the friction that existed in activating the “column” for individual users. There were items we deemed necessary before being able to take the feature GA. That will be coming soon, but wanted to let everyone know of the latest change. Cheers!
Hello there to all my friends out there in the community! My name is Cameron and I am a Product Manager at GUIDEcx. We recently held a Hackathon in early October where members of our engineering teams were able to work on projects of their choosing and were able to experiment around ideas they have had for improving our product. One of the ideas that was worked on was Bulk Actions for our newly improved Project table.Typically a hackathon project is designed to paint the vision of what something could be and if valuable enough we work to allocate roadmap capacity to see the dream realized and have a feature that we can share with users. With our latest hackathon we gave the team a bit more time so they could push themselves to accomplish a bit more and I am pleased to announce that we have a working version of Bulk Actions available for GUIDEcx users! This is a still a beta feature and thus has to be enabled within the Labs section of GUIDEcx. It is really rewarding to have a feature t
I feel like it’s a little more intuitive to have the checkboxes on the left hand side of the project table. In my testing, I’ve already reassigned/deleted the wrong projects by accident since I have to select the box on the far right hand side.Let us know!-Cross-eyed Chris
As a regular user, assigned to tasks, Is there a way for me to delegate my tasks when I am out of the office? If yes, how? Thanks,
How to enable SMS notifications ^^^ PS This was updated from existing in Labs November 16! We received feedback around having this option exist as a global setting. We moved it into everyone’s Profile Settings! So if you want to try it out and get text notifications about your tasks and projects, please check it out in there. Also, if you have a customer that you’d like to send SMS notifications to, please walk them through setting up their profile and subscribing to the notifications!
This is a feature that I’ve been excited about since starting at GUIDEcx.Now you can notify customers on their cell phone when they:Have a task that’s assigned to them become active Have a task that assigned to them due in 1 day Are @mentioned in project notes Are @mentioned in task notesFriendly reminder - this will be a 1-way notification. Recipients must opt in and once they do, they can’t respond to the text. The idea is that you can use the power of SMS to meet customers where they’re at and notify them when you need them to action something!
I’d love for there to be a select all option. (I create a lot of test projects and being able to quickly delete them all would be AWESOME). Is this already in the works? @ccrossett
I’m already seeing the vision and I am head over heels for it. I’m super excited for it to go live. I love being able to bulk re-assign and delete projects! Sometimes my team will test out some functionality in GUIDEcx and we’ll have a handful of test projects that we need to delete and it WAS cumbersome having to go into each project individually and delete it. Now that was a worry of the past! Thanks GUIDEcx team!
I didn’t notice the fine print that this beta feature isn’t available for those who use Resource Management or Time Tracking. Will that change when this goes GA?
I added a customer team member to the project. It took a while for the screen to refresh (the whole chorus of “Cry Me a River”. I just happened to be listening to it haha)Also, when I clicked on “+ Add Another Customer” the button lags quite a bit. It took long enough that I felt like my first click didn’t register so I clicked it again, but still nothing. Then I tried again and again. Finally it responded and now I have 8 empty slots that I don’t know how to remove. Is that something that can be looked at?
Great work! This is a huge value add! Now everyone on the project knows who’s who on the customer side!
Who can create reports? Is this license level determined? If there is a report that I will never need or use, that is on my reports sideview - can I remove it from my view? Once I filter a report. That filtering was not saved. How can I save a filter that I applied to a report?
Is there a way to show all completed task and Milestones in an “Expanded View”? It is driving me crazy - as I look back over a project I want to be able to see everything fully expanded.
How do I know which milestone this task belongs?
Hi everyone!I’m working on GuideCX API integration. While testing the API with Postman I noticed that passing in the query props[property]=value isn’t working properly.I want to filter tasks by responsibility field containing “CUSTOMER” value.Just like documentation requires, I added include=properties in the query string.Link to the documentation: https://api.guidecx.com/api/v2/docs#get-/tasks Screenshot of tasks data without filtering by props[responsibility]=CUSTOMER:(property responsibility = “CUSTOMER” is clearly here)Screenshot after applying filter props[responsibility] = CUSTOMER:(No data is found) Would much appreciate any insights into this, thanks! :)
You’ve spent a lot of time on refining your beautiful templates. Now that the rubber has hit the road you realize that there are some milestones that may not align with the onboarding experience the customer is needing. You can delete milestones and tasks one by one, but I’m curious to see if anyone has come up with clever ways to reduce the amount of button clicking to customize a project plan/template for a new customer!
I’m in the process of setting up the new integration available between HubSpot CRM and GuideCX to create new projects as deals are closed. As part of that I am going to set it so that Items on the deal will drive the appropriate template(s) in GuideCX. I’ve recently taken over responsibility for our Onboarding process and as part of that - and the integration mentioned above - I’m wanting to take a serious look on how we use templates. Currently there are templates for our 3 Product Types, then these are duplicated for existing customers upgrading to that product, then templates for customers just adding on some misc components. So something like this:Template 1 - New Customer - Product A - using component X Template 1 - New Customer - Product A - using component Y Template 2 - New Customer - Product B Template 3- New Customer - Product C Template 4 - Existing Customer - Product A - using component X Template 5 - Existing Customer - Product B - using component Y Template 6- Exist
Is it possible to configure a task so it has a start no sooner than constraint. I know you can set up predecessors to assure tasks get done in the correct order. If I know I don’t want a customer to start a task before a certain date because of internal resource constraints or other conditions not represented in the GuideCX project is there a way to configure a task so it cannot be started before the specified start date?
I would love to get some thoughts from you guys! 💡 What have you found to be the most effective way to name your projects? 🤔 I know that having a standard naming convention across my projects helps a lot with easily being able to identify important information as well as helps knowing how and what to search for when trying to locate a project - But project names aren’t only important for my internal team! The project name is included in every notification that is sent from your project to the customer - that is a large number of touch points that can be used to act in your favor! With task names we have best practices to help promote customer engagement that have proven to be incredibly helpful - But I think that we can use a lot of those same best practices for our project names. Clear Project Name Customer Centric Eliminate Confusion Concise Wording PracticeLet’s say, for internal clarity, I need to include the following information in my project name: Customer Name Example: ACM
Curious how others are handling project attachments as Compass View becomes the new standard for customer interaction with the platform. We’ve been in Guide full time for about 8 months and have 4 primary project templates. Our project templates make heavy use of Task Groups, and each task group has tasks with attachments included. Two headaches come from this workflow:If a task group is copied 10x, you get 10 copies of all attachments in overall project if master document is updated, all templates and active projects must be updated manuallyI know that switching to Compass View keeps the customer from accessing the overall Attachments tab, which means documents must be accessible directly from the task itself. I am wanting to move to Sharepoint to provide links to documents within the task itself to avoid attachment frenzy and manual update process -- have you tried this, any other workflows i haven’t considered?
