How do I know which milestone this task belongs?

Great question @TT_rgh816! If you go to project plan (x out of the task drawer) and search for the task name, “PP Prepare UAT document for client...” using the control+F (command+F for macs) function then it will highlight where that task is!

Let me know if that helped!

Thank you but I was actually asking how do I determine which milestone this belongs to while I’m in the task.  If I have to “X” out of the task and search for it, it slows things down.  I should be able to tell from that task view what it is and what milestone. I want to make the update and move on.  Not search the entire plan.  Since we have templates task names are duplicated throughout the plan, making it even harder to find.

Ahhh I see what you mean! I think you’re right in that there’s not a way to know while in the task itself.

I have a couple questions:

  1. How are you getting into the task? Is it via email or tasks tab?
  2. How would knowing the milestone a task is in benefit you and your team?

Check this out @ccrossett and @Rcomte!

Via email….from the link when there is some awry with the task.  By knowing the milestone, I know which deliverable this task is producing.  Each milestone produces a distinct deliverable.  By knowing the milestone I know if this is just a missing link or if the task is actually completed and just not updated.

Thank you for that feedback! I know one of our designers is looking into revamping what you see in the task drawer. @jrose check out this great insight from @TT_rgh816!

Thanks @TT_rgh816 for the feedback. This is insightful and I can see the benefits. While we don’t have anything committed on the roadmap for the improvements needed within the task drawer this is helpful and I don’t know if we had considered it before.
