My favorite tradition to date that I’ve ever done was Slash-the-Pig. Throughout the whole year we would add any extra coins/cash to a plastic piggy bank. Then on December 1st we would open the piggy bank up and divvy up the treasure among the four kids. From there we would use that as our budget to buy our siblings gifts. It was always fun to see how much money we had collectively saved up for these gifts.
Writing about this now makes me wanna revive that childhood tradition with my own kids!
