Great News:  The online Knowledge Base article for the new, strongly-typed Custom Fields, aka CUSTOM FIELDS V2, is available here for your reference! 

8 new Custom Field types are now available, including : {Text, Date, Email, Link, Number, Percentage, Single Select (where you can define your own multiple-choice drop-down menu!!), and Toggle!}
