Hello Fellow Project Managers,

Best wishes to all for New Year 2024.

Any tips to find a particular task in a project?

Most of my projects have 40+ Milestones and tasks average 200+ in a given project. Often team members have this challenge to find a particular task in the project.

Any tips to help the team is much appreciated.

We also used a combination of task tags and functions assigned to tasks to help “remove some trees from the forest” to give a smaller set of tasks to look through when on the project plan versus the global task list.

I am not aware of any way to search in GuideCX - and I desperately need it as well!  I need to search across tasks, task notes, project notes to find something.

Hi @RChopra! Best wishes to you as well for 2024!

To find a task in a project, I always use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+F (cmd + F for Mac users) then search for the task in question. That will give highlight the task that matches your search query.

As far as searching across GUIDEcx, we have a global search bar on the left (see screenshot below - A). That will search tasks, projects, and all notes. The search bar on the project page (B) only searches on the project level for projects.
