Hey guys

I’m Kelly. I'm beyond excited to join this onboarding community. I'm a new client onboarding specialist with some customer success experience. I'm looking forward to being a part of this fantastic community and learning and growing with all of you.

As I embark on this new journey, I would absolutely love to hear any tips and tricks you may have for the first 90 days on the job. I want to make sure I'm locking into the right things and being as effective as possible in my role. Your experiences and insights would be invaluable to me, so please don't hesitate to share. I'm glad to be here and can't wait to get started. I am looking forward to collaborating and networking with all of you!

Welcome to the club, @Kellycxb!!! There are a lot of pros here that can help you be super successful in your first 90 days!!! @rondeaul @Mark Mitchell @Matthew Davidson @jeanettecazier @willpatterson@harrisclarke  any pro tips for our friend, Kelly, here?

One thing I recommend is to do your best to understand the onboarding experience. Once you’ve learned the path/trail, you can start incorporating stories that tie back to the value the customer is looking for. The best guides not only know the path, but they make the experience better by telling stories and engaging their customers.

@Kellycxb welcome! I look forward to following along your journey. Please feel free here to ask anything on your mind and share what you are wondering. Elan’s advice above is spot on. Another thing I wish I learned sooner is that my job is to know what value my company is really good at providing AND what value is really important to the customer….then to create the most overlap between the two that I can  and guide them to that value as efficiently as possible. Helping people see where they are on the path along the way is also a great way to keep them engaged.

Happy to set up a call to dive deeper into any of this!

@harrisclarke @emaynez  Thank you guys for responding and giving me those points. I am a little nervous but understanding that it's all about value building and connecting that to the clients needs will be imperative. As for the onboarding experience. I have been deep diving into many blogs whether that is onboarding/implementation or client success just to really understand what is my role and the main structure to it.

As far as setting up some 1-1 time, I would appreciate and enjoy the mentorship! Please let me know how I can go about that :)
